Mariah the Scientist has been attending Young Thug’s court hearings in Georgia for his RICO charges, and now she’s thrilled he’s been released after a plea deal.
“Thank you God, thank you God. This is more than what we prayed for,” Mariah shared through a text to a reporter. She expressed immense gratitude to everyone involved in the case, including the judge and lawyers, saying they’ve changed their lives and thanking all the fans who supported them.
On the night of Thug’s release, Mariah was performing in Brooklyn during Latto’s tour and spoke emotionally to the crowd. Tears flowed as she recounted how hard things had been and how some doubted she’d see him again. Catching herself swearing, she turned her message into a prayer.
Fans are happy Mariah stayed strong and never gave up on Young Thug.
Switching from prayer, she addressed skeptics with fierce words. At her shows, she usually says “Free Thug,” but this time she said she needs to change it because of the good news and hurried to catch a flight.
In a chat with Angel Reese on her podcast, Mariah discussed her relationship with Thug, which started in 2021. She mentioned how tough it was since he got locked up soon after they began dating, but she still attended court sessions to be near him.
Touring with big names like Rod Wave and Coldplay, Mariah released her first EP in 2018 and three albums since then. With Thug, she created songs like “Walked In” and “Ride.” He even replied to her song “From a Woman” with his track, “From a Man.”
