Wizkid’s Latest Collaboration
Wizkid has released a fresh track called "Piece of My Heart," featuring Brent Faiyaz. They shared a sneak peek of the song on Instagram, showing off a fancy mansion in a rural setting. The tune has two clear parts: first, Faiyaz sings about staying close, repeating, “Nothing can tear us apart/You’ve got a piece of my heart/Nothing can tear us apart.” Meanwhile, Wizkid promises, “If I ever hurt you, I mean well, what I gotta do to make you know it’s all real?/If I could, I would keep you to myself.”
Later in the song, around three minutes in, the pace changes. Faiyaz reflects on the high price of living the way they do, singing, “She don’t know, what it cost to live this life/Your price ain’t low, that’s why I write best on these flights.”
People love it when artists come together to make something special.
Public Appearances
The two were spotted together in Paris not too long ago at an important fashion event. Wizkid wowed everyone by performing popular songs like "Ojuelegba" and "Essence." "Essence," with Tems, was even named the best song of 2021 by Rolling Stone.
Upcoming Album
Wizkid is set to release his sixth studio album, titled Morayo. In Yoruba, "Morayo" means "I see joy." This album is a heartfelt homage to his mom, who passed away. It follows his recent EP and last year’s album, More Love, Less Ego. Back in 2020, he put out Made in Lagos, a standout album nominated for a Grammy. Before the awards, Wizkid explained his approach to music: he simply aimed to create good tunes, believing people would love them. His focus was on making music that truly resonated with him.
