“Nobody Move” Hits the Scene
Major Lazer is getting ready to re-release their first album, and they’re kicking things off with a new song featuring Vybz Kartel.
The song “Nobody Move” arrives a few months after a big change for Kartel. His murder conviction from ten years ago was tossed out, freeing him. Back in 2014, he was found guilty of killing Clive “Lizard” Williams, but this year, the court decided that jury bribery claims messed up the case. Kartel’s appeal was successful, and the court said no to another trial. In March, he celebrated by posting “Victorious!!!” on Instagram, though that post is now gone.
Kartel has worked with Major Lazer before. They teamed up on “Pon de Floor” from the same album and “You’re No Good” from their next album. Despite being in prison, Kartel didn’t stop making music. He kept releasing albums and songs even while locked up.
Fans are curious about what else might come from this reissue.
Besides the new tune with Kartel, the reissue includes other surprises like a never-before-heard song with MIA called “Where’s The Baby,” and a track named “Pon de Streets.” The special edition is set to drop on November 15 and you can pre-order it now. For the first time ever, the album will also be available on vinyl when it releases.
