Tim Commerford, after two years since sharing his prostate cancer diagnosis, has shared some uplifting news about his health.
In a chat with Total Rock, Commerford exclaimed, “I’m the strongest I’ve ever been in my life,” and expressed pride in staying fit and artistic at 56. He noticed that many people his age aren’t in great shape, making him feel even better about his efforts.
Back in December 2022, Commerford opened up about his prostate cancer battle and mentioned having surgery shortly before Rage Against the Machine’s reunion tour.
He admitted feeling devastated upon learning about his cancer but found strength in focusing on physical improvement. The idea of working hard to become stronger than before helped him cope emotionally.
Fans sometimes find it inspiring how people overcome tough challenges.
Earlier this year, while involved with his new band 7D7D, Commerford discussed with Rolling Stone not only his health struggles but also the canceled Rage Against the Machine tour.
Referring to himself as “Cancer Man,” he shared how the illness altered his life permanently. Even though his current PSA levels are zero, regular testing every few months keeps him on edge. This experience taught him to slow down and appreciate the little things more.
