The Grammy Awards are known for being a big deal in music, and Taylor Swift’s fans, the Swifties, play a huge role in her success there.
Recently, she got six nominations for the 2025 Grammys thanks to her album The Tortured Poets Department. This includes nods for both Song and Record of the Year for "Fortnight," and she’s made history as the first woman nominated seven times for Album of the Year, previously sharing that spot with Barbra Streisand.
During a concert in Toronto, Swift said, “You guys have been so wonderful about getting into this album and really understanding where I was coming from with it and you made it, by far, the biggest debut week I’ve ever had of an album,” adding that the fans kept the album at number one for almost four months. “And the most recent thing that you did, because everything that happens is a direct reflection of the passion that you show, is you guys got this album nominated for six Grammys. It’s so unbelievable, so thank you.”
The Tortured Poets Department came out in April, marking her fifth album in five years. Besides the standard edition, Swift later released The Anthology, adding 15 more songs. Over time, there have been 34 different editions on vinyl, CD, and cassette. There’s even a limited edition digital version. This month, The Anthology will also be available on vinyl.
We sometimes wonder how Taylor Swift keeps delivering music that fans love over and over again.
The album was number one on Billboard 200 for 15 weeks and now stands at number nine after 29 weeks, which has amazed Swift.
She’s also up for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Music Video at the upcoming Grammys.
