SZA Will Take Break From Performing to ‘Get My Life Together’

Festival Finale

SZA wrapped up her festival shows at Osheaga on Sunday after a huge SOS tour.

The next day, she announced on X that she’s taking a break from performing. “Yesterday was my last show for a while,” she wrote. “Finally bout to get my life together thank u God.”

Right after this post, SZA shared a fan’s praise about her energetic performances.

She responded, “This makes me so happy cause that’s all I’m tryna do!! I jus wanna capture yalls energy mix it up w mine add some love and throw it back. All within 90 mins I love you.”

This summer, she performed at big festivals like Lollapalooza and Glastonbury, adding to her 63-show global SOS tour that spanned from February 2023 to May 2024. Her album even topped Rolling Stone’s best album of the year list.

Sometimes, we all need a break to regroup and recharge.

Don’t think her break means no new music is coming. At Lollapalooza, she performed a new song, “Cry Baby,” and hinted it will be released soon. She’s also been teasing an album called Lana and has a collaboration with Paramore in the works.

“Will be dropping the leaks and outtakes from SOS as promised as the deluxe asap,” she tweeted in March. “Lana deserves more time and music no one’s ever heard before.”

Over the weekend, SZA posted a video of Chappell Roan’s performance at Lollapalooza on Instagram, saying it inspired her to keep creating music and art forever.
