Soccer Mommy Releases New Single Driver, Announces Tour

As fall draws near, Sophie Allison has released a fresh single from her next album Evergreen.

Unlike the earlier acoustic singles "M" and "Lost," this new track, "Driver," turns up the energy. With intense riffs, Sophie sings, “I’m a five foot four engine waiting to move/I’m a test of his patience with all that I do,” and the catchy chorus, “Where are we going now?” is sure to linger in your mind.

Talking about "Driver," Allison shared, “’Driver’ is a love song that’s really about someone being there for you in spite of your shortcomings. It’s more lighthearted than some of the other songs I’ve put out this year, using my distractedness as a bit of a punchline.”

Evergreen, following 2022’s Sometimes Forever, will be available on October 25 via Loma Vista Recordings. She’s also announced a huge tour starting this month, continuing in January, and ending in Nashville on March 15 before heading abroad. Tickets will be available Friday.

Fans love seeing new music combined with tours. It gives us something to look forward to.
