Countdown to Election Day
With just under three weeks before people go to vote, the famous singer is asking everyone to make their voices heard.
Cher’s Support for Kamala Harris
Cher shared that she’s backing Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the upcoming election. In a video online, she expressed admiration for Harris, saying, “I have followed Kamala Harris since she was my U.S. senator. She fought for me then and she is fighting for all of us now.” Her support comes with a promise to cast her vote proudly for both Harris and Walz, hoping they will stand up for everyone’s rights and emphasizing how important it is to vote this year.

Reflections on Biden’s Decision
Cher was one of the stars who talked about President Biden stepping out of the presidential race last July. Even though she has great respect for Biden, she admitted feeling torn. She mentioned loving Biden since they first met in 2008, but also thought it might be time for Democrats to try something new to beat Trump. “In my heart I’m tortured, because I don’t believe the Democrats can win the Presidency with ‘Pres Biden’ ‘Joe’ whom I’ve loved since we met in 2008,” she shared. “I campaigned for him I believe it’s time to pass the baton, time for dems to think ‘way’ outside the box. Maybe even a split ticket.”
Fans are hopeful for change and want fresh ideas to succeed.
Hollywood and Music Industry Unite
Many celebrities in Hollywood and music are showing their support for Harris. Charli XCX, Barbra Streisand, and Kerry Washington are some who stand behind her. Megan Thee Stallion even performed at Harris’ rally in Atlanta, and Justin Vernon sang in Wisconsin to back Harris and Walz.
Convention Performances
At the Democratic National Convention, lots of musicians like John Legend, Stevie Wonder, Lil Jon, Jason Isbell, and Maren Morris performed in favor of the vice president.
