Shaboozey’s Big Night
Shaboozey made a splash on Saturday Night Live with his famous tune “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and a fresh country piece, “Good News.”
His popular song, from the album “Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going,” shares a record with Lil Nas X for staying at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for 19 weeks straight.
Borrowing vibes from J-Kwon’s 2004 hit “Tipsy,” this track is up for Song of the Year and Best Country Solo Performance at the Grammys.
Also in the Grammy race for Best New Artist, Shaboozey sang “Good News,” a song he dropped in November after his spring album release.
He was thrilled about his six Grammy nominations.
“This moment is something I’ve dreamt about ever since I started recording music. Even with that said, nothing could’ve prepared me for the moment when I finally heard my name called today!” he shared online.
“I’m thankful for everyone who ever believed and took a chance on me. For those who looked out for me when I needed it the most. I’m grateful for every couch I slept on, every no I was ever told, every heartbreak, and every tear I shed over achieving my dreams. I’m thankful for everything! I wake up grateful every single day. Never give up on your dreams.”
Fans feel inspired by his journey and words.
He’s set to perform in Las Vegas soon and will hit the stage at Miami’s Rolling Loud festival before heading to Europe in March, kicking off in Paris.
