Muna’s Special Tribute at All Things Go Festival
During the All Things Go festival in Columbia, Muna decided to perform “Good Luck, Babe!” by Chappell Roan.
Katie Gavin from Muna addressed the crowd, acknowledging they were expecting Chappell instead. She said, “Obviously we know it was not us that you were expecting to see today, it was Chappell… And we fucking love Chappell Roan… We would really love for you guys to sing with us and I don’t know, this is a group exercise in her our love. She really deserves it.â€
The band then played an acoustic version of “Good Luck, Babe!” which turned into a sing-along with everyone there.
On Friday, Chappell announced she couldn’t perform due to her health and the stress of recent weeks.
In her post, she wrote, “I am really feeling it… I feel pressures to prioritize a lot of things right now and I need a few days to prioritize my health.â€
“I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows possible. Thank you for understanding,†she added. “Be back soon.â€
Fans hope she recovers soon because her presence is missed.
Recently, Chappell has been setting boundaries due to some uncomfortable interactions with fans. In her Rolling Stone cover story, she revealed dealing with a stalker who showed up at her parents’ house and her New York hotel, leading her to hire security. Also, she made headlines clarifying her political stance after a misunderstanding about her support for Kamala Harris.
