New Single Release
Megan Thee Stallion has just put out a new song, “Neva Play,” featuring RM from BTS.
For weeks, they have been hinting at this collaboration. Megan shared, “This is one of my favorite RM verses I’ve heard! I’ve never heard him rap in this style before.” The music video is lively and colorful. Megan appears live, but RM’s part is shown through an animated version of him.
In late August, they started dropping hints about their joint effort. Megan tweeted a series of emojis like a horse and a purple heart, which made people think of BTS. On Friday, BTS retweeted Megan’s post and wrote, “Coming Soon!”
Fans must be really excited to see these two big stars working together again.
Their last team-up was in summer 2021 when they did a remix of “Butter.” Later that year, Megan joined BTS to perform it live for the first time in Los Angeles at SoFi Stadium.
What’s Next for Megan and BTS
Megan Thee Stallion, who dropped her third album “Megan” on June 28, will host the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 11. She’s also in the running for five awards, including Best Collaboration for “Wanna Be” with GloRilla and Best Hip-Hop for “BOA.”
BTS, on the other hand, is taking a break as a group until 2025 because the members are doing their mandatory military service in South Korea. But individually, they’re still busy. Jimin’s solo album “Muse” came out in July, and he worked with Jung Kook on a travel show called “Are You Sure?!” on Disney+. Jin carried the torch for the Paris Summer Olympics in July.
It’s interesting to see how they balance group and solo projects.
