He shared on Instagram how Liam’s support and comforting smile meant the world to him during their One Direction days. “Liam, I have found myself talking out loud to you, hoping you can hear me, I can’t help but think selfishly that there were so many more conversations for us to have in our lives,” Zayn expressed. He felt grateful for Liam’s friendship, especially when he was homesick as a teenager.
Despite being younger, Liam was wise and assertive, often speaking up when things seemed off, something Zayn respected even if it led to disagreements. Remembering their time in the band, Zayn said Liam was the most dependable, always guiding them in the right direction on stage.
