His tribute book quickly climbed to the top of the bestseller lists, both in print and audio, just before it officially came out. Eddie’s passing in late 2020 from lung cancer left a big hole in the music world.
Reflecting on Eddie’s immense talent, Alex told Rolling Stone, “The fact was, that Ed was an incredible player, but in the end he paid for it with his health, paid for it with his life.”
