Kendrick’s Surprise Drop
Kendrick Lamar unexpectedly released a new album, “GNX,” and it talks about being chosen for the Super Bowl show instead of Lil Wayne.
Wayne’s Reaction
In the song “Wacced Out Murals,” Kendrick mentions listening to “Tha Carter III” and how he feels like his success might have let Lil Wayne down. The next morning, Wayne went on X (formerly Twitter) with, “Man wtf I do?!”
Disappointment from Wayne
Back in September, after Kendrick got picked for the Super Bowl Halftime, Wayne shared how much it hurt him not to be chosen. He said it broke him, and even Nicki Minaj and Birdman felt he should have been picked.
Fans often feel torn when their favorites face such situations.
Even though Wayne didn’t directly mention the Super Bowl or Kendrick, it seems like he’s blaming himself and wants to avoid making things worse.
Wayne’s Message
Wayne tweeted again saying, “I just be chillin & dey still kome 4 my head. Let’s not take kindness for weakness. Let this giant sleep. I beg u all,” and added that he doesn’t want destruction but will defend himself if needed.
Kendrick’s Shout-outs
Kendrick raps in “Wacced Out Murals” about winning the Super Bowl, mentioning how only Nas congratulated him. Nas then showed support on Instagram, praising Kendrick for keeping things real.
Snoop and the Drake Diss
In the same verse, Kendrick brings up Snoop Dogg in connection with a Drake diss track featuring AI voices of Snoop and Tupac. Drake later removed it after legal threats.
Kendrick rapped about hoping Snoop’s post was due to edibles, and Snoop confirmed on X with fire emojis and admitted, “It was the edibles,” calling Kendrick “west west king.”
