Lil Durk’s Legal Troubles Deepen
Lil Durk is facing even more legal issues after being accused of planning a murder-for-hire using secretive language.
While heading to Miami for a flight to Italy, he got arrested. Originally charged with conspiracy in a deadly shooting, he’s now been named the lead defendant with more serious charges added against him and five others related to a 2022 incident near Beverly Center.
Now, besides conspiracy, he’s accused of using interstate services for murder-for-hire, involving firearms, and violence leading to death.
He’s currently held in Miami, awaiting transfer to Los Angeles for court proceedings. Reaching his spokesperson was impossible at the moment.
We hope this situation clears up soon.
The prosecutors say he’s the leader of a group called OTF, which they claim has been involved in violent acts under his guidance. They allege that he ordered a murder as revenge for King Von’s death. This rapper had been a close friend since childhood and was signed to his label.
Prosecutors’ Allegations
According to them, Quando Rondo, linked to King Von’s shooting, faced threats from Lil Durk’s side. After the tragic event, coded messages were sent suggesting a reward for anyone who avenged King Von.
Learning Rondo was in LA, the accused rushed there. Using two cars, they allegedly tracked him, leading to a gas station shootout. This attack, caught on camera, resulted in the death of Rondo’s cousin, prosecutors claim.
The indictment mentions records showing an OTF associate booking flights from Chicago to California for the alleged attackers, supposedly under secretive instructions from Lil Durk.
Travel and Arrest Details
On the same day as the planned attack, Lil Durk flew to California with another conspirator. This person allegedly bought ski masks and used Lil Durk’s credit card for accommodations.
Following arrests in Chicago, Lil Durk supposedly planned to flee. The FBI noted attempts to book flights to Dubai and Switzerland, but he was apprehended before boarding his private jet to Italy.
If found guilty, all individuals involved could face life imprisonment in federal prison.
