Lady Gaga’s new video for “Disease” is a wild ride, showing her battling and escaping from creepy versions of herself.
Monstrous Reflections
Lady Gaga’s dark electro-pop song “Disease” now has an intense music video. In it, she faces spooky versions of herself, like one in all leather with scary eyes, sky-high heels, a mask with a zipper, and really long metal nails. The action unfolds in a peaceful neighborhood where she fights, hugs, and runs away from her fears that come to life.
Earlier on Instagram, she shared her thoughts about the video, saying, “I think a lot about the relationship I have with my own inner demons.” She explained how chaos and trouble sometimes attract her, making her feel stuck. The song is about confronting that fear and realizing sometimes she can’t run away from the scary parts inside her.
“Dancing, morphing, running, purging. Again and again, back with myself. This integration is ultimately beautiful to me because it’s mine and I’ve learned to handle it.”
Fans can relate to facing their own fears and learning to be okay with them.

In her own words, she said she is the “conductor of my own symphony.” No matter how frightening the questions might be, the answers are inside her, essential parts of who she is. By pushing forward, she saves herself, staying strong and ready for anything. She wrapped it up by wishing everyone a Happy Halloween.
“Disease” is the first track from her next album, called LG7, following Chromatica from 2020. In August, she teamed up with Bruno Mars on “Die With a Smile,” which started at Number Three on the Billboard Hot 100.
