Kylie Minogue just released a new song called "Lights Camera Action."
The song, which has a dance beat, was produced by Lewis Thompson and co-written by Kylie, Thompson, and Ina Wroldsen. The music video, directed by Sophie Muller, was filmed in Budapest and will come out today.
There are also several remixes of the single by artists like Confidence Man, Zach Witness, and Jaconda.
"Lights Camera Action" is from Kylie’s upcoming album Tension II, set to release on Oct. 18 through Mushroom Music. This album follows her 2023 album Tension. The new album features 13 tracks, including past hits like "Edge of Saturday Night" with Blessed Madonna, "My Oh My" with Bebe Rexha and Tove Lo, "Midnight Ride" with Orville Peck and Diplo, and "Dance Alone" with Sia.
To promote the album, Kylie will go on her Tension Tour 2025 starting next February in Australia. The tour will then move to Asia and the U.K. in May, with more dates for Europe, North America, and South America to be announced later.
"I can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the Tension era and more," Kylie said in a statement. "It’s been an exhilarating ride so far and now, get ready for your close up because I will be calling Lights, Camera, Action… and there will be a whole lot of Padaming!"
We are all excited to see what she brings to the stage.
In an interview with ABC News, Kylie said the tour will feature her biggest hits and some unique tracks. She wants the shows to feel "Positive and joyous," adding, "It’s something that I want people to feel from the show and from the music."
She also said the new single is "quite hypnotic" and fun, and she expects people will start using the phrase "Lights Camera Action" in everyday talk.
Earlier this year, Kylie won a Grammy for Best Dance Pop Recording for "Padam Padam," a track from Tension.
