Exciting New Netflix Music Show
Netflix’s new show will have contestants forming bands in separate rooms, like Love is Blind.
New Judges Announced
On Friday, Netflix revealed that Kelly Rowland, Nicole Scherzinger, Liam Payne, and AJ McLean will be the stars judging on Building the Band. The show will have individual singers choosing their bandmates while they are isolated in their own booths. They must decide based on how well they get along musically and personally.
Judges with a Musical Background
Scherzinger, Payne, and Rowland will serve as judges and mentors, while McLean will host the show. Scherzinger has judged The X Factor, Masked Singer, and The Sing-Off. Payne was put in One Direction during X Factor.
Producer’s Vision
“Building the Band is a brave and bold undertaking for all involved as we hand over power to the singers themselves to form their own band based on chemistry first,†executive producer Cat Lawson told Netflix’s Tudum. “With looks out of the equation, can they create a deeper connection with their bandmates?â€
Fans can’t wait to see how this turns out.
Lawson added that with only a few bands, there will be tough choices and exciting moments, but the results will be incredible, with bands deserving the biggest stages!
Guest Judges and Filming
There will also be guest judges, and filming is set to start before the end of summer.
