Katy Perry’s Sweet Salute to Sabrina Carpenter
Katy Perry gave a big shout-out to Sabrina Carpenter after she rocked the stage in Los Angeles.
On Instagram, Perry shared some snaps from the event, saying, “soooo @sabrinacarpenter show was too short but so sweet ,” and she felt like a cool aunt because of Carpenter’s song “Lie to Girls.” She said, “IT JUST KILLS ME CAUSE IT FEELS LIKE YOUVE READ EVERY GIRLS DIARY WRITING THAT SONG ”
The concert was a real celebrity hotspot. Besides Katy hanging with her nieces, John Mayer also showed up, which was interesting since they used to date nearly a decade ago. Other famous faces included Cara Delevingne, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Blue Ivy Carter. Fans love seeing all these stars together at events.
In a funny twist, Sabrina had a playful moment during her performance. She “arrested” Marcello Hernández’s character from Saturday Night Live, Domingo, for being too hot. Domingo, with his Miami flair, told Carpenter, “Miami?” she replied with a cheeky “I wish you were from my bedroom.” The crowd loved it!
“I’m the cute boy with blue jacket and the thick accent,” he said, and Carpenter got all flustered before jokingly asking if he had any last words before his fake arrest. He then sang a few lines from her song “Espresso.”

A little earlier, Carpenter had another playful “arrest” at one of her shows. She previously pretended to apprehend Millie Bobby Brown in Atlanta, and during her Los Angeles gig, she targeted Margaret Qualley, teasing around with Jack Antonoff, who is married to Margaret.
Carpenter’s U.S. tour may have ended in Los Angeles, but she’s not stopping yet. Next year, she’s taking her music across the pond to the U.K. and Europe with concerts in cities like London and Paris.
