Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign Drop ‘Vultures 2’: Listen

The New Chapter of Vultures

Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign released their second album, Vultures 2, on Saturday morning.

Star-Studded Collaborations

The album has 16 songs featuring Future, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Kodak Black, Playboi Carti, Lil Baby, and many more. You’ll also hear Don Toliver, Desiigner, 070 Shake, CyHi, Lil Durk, and even Kanye’s kids, Chicago and North, on a track called "Bomb."

Where’s the Posthumous Track?

Rolling Stone had hinted that Vultures 2 might include a posthumous collaboration with Takeoff, named "Let Me Chill Out." The track was supposed to be a highlight, featuring Rich the Kid and NBA Youngboy. However, when the album finally came out on August 3 after being delayed for months, that track wasn’t there.

Release Dates and Announcements

In an interview with Justin LaBoy on The Download, Kanye mentioned the album would drop on May 3. It’s the second of three planned Vultures albums, following the first one released in February.

We sometimes wonder why things change so suddenly.

Early Teasers and Cover Art

Kanye announced Vultures 2 in early March, sharing cover art with a masked Ty Dolla $ign in a black leather jacket and an image of his brother Big TC, who claims he didn’t commit the murder he’s imprisoned for. The release was initially set for March 8 but got postponed.

First Vultures Album Recap

The first Vultures album came out on February 10, featuring Quavo, Travis Scott, Chris Brown, Mike Tyson, Playboi Carti, and a posthumous verse from Nipsey Hussle. The song "Carnival," with Carti and Rich the Kid, hit No. 1 on the Hot 100. Kanye led the production, with help from Swizz Beatz, JPEGMafia, and DJ Camper.

“Vultures is a serviceable record. The production, in typical post-My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy fashion, is sparse,” stated a Rolling Stone review of the first album. “While it won’t be confused for a masterpiece, it shows that West is still good at being a producer. He puts Ty Dolla $ign in position to sound as bubbly as he’s been since the Obama era.”
