Jake E. Lee Health Update After Shooting: Doing Well

Unexpected Turn of Events

A former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne shared with his friend, D.J. Ashba, that he is “doing well” after a surprising ordeal.

A Close Call in Las Vegas

Jake E. Lee sent a text to Ashba, expressing relief about being “one lucky motherfucker” after surviving multiple gunshots in Las Vegas. On Wednesday, Ashba posted their conversation on Instagram Stories. When Ashba checked in on him, Lee replied, “Doing surprisingly well. I am one lucky motherfucker.”

Keeping the Spirits High

Adding a touch of humor, Lee joked about making a birthday party wheelchair-friendly: “Just make sure your bday bash is wheelchair accessible! Just jestin’.” The incident took place when he was in his driveway, preparing to walk his dog, and was suddenly shot. Bullets hit his forearm, back, and foot. Despite a rib fracture, none of his vital organs were damaged. A neighbor’s quick call to the police ensured he got to the hospital in time.

Fans hope he gets better soon.

On the Road to Recovery

According to Lee’s representative, he’s recuperating in intensive care and should recover fully. It seems the attack was random, and the investigation continues without any arrests yet.

Past and Present Musical Endeavors

In recent years, Lee performed with Red Dragon Cartel but had to manage some hand pain before returning to playing. He previously played with Ratt, Rough Cutt, Dio, and then joined Osbourne. Later, he formed Badlands with Ray Gilles and released solo albums.

Words from the Past

Osbourne, reflecting on the incident, stated, “It’s been 37 years since I’ve seen Jake E. Lee, but that still doesn’t take away from the shock of hearing what happened to him today. It’s just another senseless act of gun violence.”
