Hot Boys, the famous rap group, got back together after over 15 years at Lil WeezyAna Festival in New Orleans.
The group performed for about 22 minutes, rocking out to their old hits like “Get Your Roll On,” “I Need a Hot Girl,” and “Neighborhood Superstar.” They had special guests like Mannie Fresh and Birdman join them on stage. Each member also got a chance to shine solo, with Juvenile playing “Back That Azz Up” and B.G. performing “Bling Bling.”
Later, Lil Wayne did his own thing on stage. He talked about how sad he was to miss out on the Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans. “I told myself I wanna be on stage at the Super Bowl in front of my mom and I worked my ass off to get that position and it was ripped away from me but this moment right here… they can’t take this away from me,” he said to the crowd.
Fans always love seeing their favorite stars come together again.
Since B.G. got out of prison in 2023 after being away for 12 years, people hoped for a full reunion, maybe at Essence Fest. But only Juvenile and B.G. teamed up there while Lil Wayne did his own show, and Turk didn’t show up.
Lil Wayne later confirmed that the big reunion would happen at his festival, and it caused such excitement that tickets sold out fast at the Smoothie King Center.
The last time Hot Boys released an album was back in 2003 with Let ‘Em Burn. There were talks of new music earlier this year, but Wayne wasn’t too sure about it. Before Saturday’s event, three members, minus B.G., had a mini-reunion at the 2016 festival.
