Upcoming Solo Shows?
Hayley Williams might finally do the solo concerts she planned nearly five years ago.
On her Instagram, celebrating her 36th birthday, she mentioned wanting to perform shows next year that were postponed. She jokingly added, “if the world doesn’t fucking stop before then. Here’s hoping.”
Back in March 2020, just as COVID-19 was beginning to spread, she had announced a tour for her solo project, Petals for Armor.
A Solo Adventure
She expressed how nerve-wracking it felt to tour without Paramore but also found comfort in performing for her fans, saying, “Wow. I am going on tour. Myself. It’s not Paramore and truthfully, it’s just a little terrifying… There was a time I thought I wouldn’t tour Petals for Armor. What a joke. I must.”
The pandemic changed everything, forcing her to do virtual performances like NPR’s Tiny Desk concert from Nashville. By the time things calmed down, she was back with Paramore, releasing a new album, This Is Why, and even touring with Taylor Swift.
Fans are excited to see her perform live again after such a long wait.
Ready to Grow
Now with a free schedule, she’s looking forward to finally doing the solo tour. It’s unclear if she’ll focus on Petals for Armor or surprise us with new tunes. Sharing her thoughts on turning 36, she said, “35 felt like tilling soil and throwing little seeds down. Waiting, waiting, waiting to see. 36 is exciting and a little scary, already. So much to hope for. I’m still in the dirt, ready for whatever might grow. Fruit?”
