Music and Politics Unite
Gracie Abrams, Matt Berninger, Aaron Dessner, and Mumford & Sons are getting ready to perform at the Harris-Walz rally in Madison, Wisconsin, next week.
Event Details
Remi Wolf will also be there on Wednesday at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with Vice President Kamala Harris likely making an appearance.
For more info about the rally, you can check out the event page on the Democrats’ website. On the same day, Donald Trump is planning a campaign event near Green Bay, as noted by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Wisconsin is key in the presidential race, so lots of artists and politicians are focusing their efforts there before Election Day. Barack Obama was in Madison last week when early voting began, and Lil Uzi Vert played a free concert in Milwaukee to get people excited about voting.
Fans love seeing music mix with politics because it makes things more exciting.
Celebrity Support
The Harris-Walz team has brought in big names like Bruce Springsteen and Beyonce to show support and motivate voters.
“I’m Bruce Springsteen and I’m here to support Kamala Harris and Tim Walz for President and Vice President of the United States, and to oppose Donald Trump and JD Vance,” Bruce declared at a Georgia rally.
He wants leaders who respect the Constitution, protect democracy, follow the law, support women’s rights, and build a strong middle-class economy.
Beyonce spoke at a Harris rally in Houston, saying, “We are at the precipice of an enormous shift. I’m not here as a celebrity. I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother. A mother who cares about the world our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we are not divided, our past or present or future.”
