Everyone’s talking about Wicked lately, thanks to its stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda, making waves with memes, online chatter, Jeff Goldblum’s surprise piano play, and singalong screenings on Christmas Day.
Camila Cabello couldn’t hold back her excitement and hopped on Instagram to shower praise on the duo, saying, “You were brilliant Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo,” while adding that she can’t stop singing along.
A fan shared Cabello’s Instagram story on X, and it featured a video of her singing “Defying Gravity,” a famous song from the film. Recently, Cabello released an album called “C, XOXO” and has shown her acting skills in 2021’s Cinderella. Soon, she’ll be performing with other artists at the College Football Playoff weekend and headlining a concert in Atlanta.

During Thanksgiving, Wicked: Part 1 directed by Jon M. Chu, broke records as the top-grossing Broadway musical adaptation in the U.S., raking in $214.3 million in its second weekend. Overall, the weekend saw massive earnings of $420 million at the box office.
The movie had already earned $358 million globally, placing it fourth among Broadway adaptations like Mamma Mia!, Les Miserables, and Grease.
