Bruce Springsteen wants a leader who respects the Constitution and aims to protect democracy, as he mentions in a new ad.
Springsteen’s Rally Message
Springsteen recently showed his support for Kamala Harris at a rally in Philadelphia. Just before the election, he released a campaign ad called “Hopes and Dreams,” inspired by his song “Land of Hope and Dreams,” performed at the Temple University event. In this ad, he criticized Donald Trump and explained why he thinks people should vote for Harris and Walz.
“This election is about a group of folks who want to fundamentally undermine our American way of life. Donald Trump does not understand this country, its history, or what it means to be deeply American,” Springsteen stated clearly.
Springsteen expressed his desire for a president who values the rule of law, women’s rights, and a strong economy for everyone. He believes Kamala Harris is the right person for the job and urged others to vote for her and Tim Walz on November 5.
Fans admire Springsteen for using his voice to support what he believes is right.
A Tradition of Support
At the rally, Springsteen also played “The Promised Land” and “Dancing in the Dark” acoustically. His support for candidates during elections is nothing new in Philadelphia. Back in 2008, he rallied a massive crowd for Barack Obama, and in 2016, he performed for Hillary Clinton. In 2020, he supported Joe Biden with an ad that featured his narration and music.
Springsteen even joined a Harris-Walz event in Georgia this election season, showing his continuous support.
