Rosé’s latest track, “Number One Girl,” is her second single from her upcoming solo album, Rosie.
Rosé dropped “Number One Girl,” a pop-punk tune with a heartfelt feel, following her hit “Apt” with Bruno Mars. The video for the song shows Rosé in a quiet skate park, where she sings about wanting to be the most important person to someone special.
In her self-directed music video, Rosé emotionally sings, “Isn’t it lonely / I do anything to make you want me / I’d give it all up if you told me / That I’ll be / The number one girl in your eyes.”
The song is part of her first full album, Rosie, which will be out on December 6. “Apt,” a fun song about a Korean drinking game, has topped the Billboard Global 200 for four weeks now. Even though this is her first complete album, she started her solo journey with the EP R a few years ago.
In an Instagram post, Rosé shared how she felt mixed up and unsure while planning her next move. Thanks to her loved ones and supporters, she finished the 12-track album.
Fans are excited to see what she does next as she pours her heart into her work.
Back in October, she mentioned, “I have poured my blood and tears into this album. I cannot wait for you to listen to this little journal of mine. Rosie – is the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel that much closer to me.”
This week, her bandmate Lisa from Blackpink revealed her own debut album, Alter Ego, coming out in February 2025. She also released a visual showing herself in five different roles.
