Two Legends Join Forces for a Classic Performance in Cleveland
Billy Joel may have ended his regular shows at the Garden, but he’s still hitting the road, this time sharing the stage with Rod Stewart in Cleveland.
These joint performances follow similar ones with Sting and Stevie Nicks, where there were moments of collaboration. This time, Stewart joined Joel to play “Stay With Me” by Faces.
Joel had earlier teamed up with Sting to sing “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic” and “Big Man on Mulberry Street” at their concerts. Similarly, he and Nicks performed “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” and “And So It Goes” during their shows.
The Cleveland gig was Joel’s first in over a month and only his second since ending his long Madison Square Garden run in July, a show that featured Axl Rose.
We love seeing these legends perform together; it’s always a treat.
Joel’s 2024 tour will wrap up soon, with another show in St. Louis and two more with Sting. He’ll also play solo in Los Angeles at the Intuit Dome on October 12.
