Singer to Start Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour in Quebec on Sunday
Billie Eilish is taking life as it comes, even if it stings a bit. On Friday, she dropped the video for “Birds of a Feather,” where she’s seen calmly being dragged through an office while singing about her intense feelings.
The video, directed by Aidan Zamiri, begins with Billie singing before her arms start moving like she’s a puppet.
Eilish — smiling and seemingly unfazed — spins in her chair and gets pulled into various rooms in the office. “I’ll love you until the day that I die,†she sings right before crashing into a glass room, breaking her glasses.
Reconnecting with Zamiri, who also directed Charli XCX’s “Guess†featuring Eilish, she shared her love for him on Instagram, calling him her twin. This video is her third from Hit Me Hard, following “Chihiro†and “Lunch.â€
“Even in a great pop year that’s already been a super-chunk cluster-bunch of bold statements for mega-pop queens, Hit Me Hard and Soft stands out as something uniquely strange,†Rob Sheffield wrote in Rolling Stone, describing “Birds of a Feather†as a “poignant Eighties-flavored love song that could pass for vintage Sade or George Michael.â€
We are excited to see what she does next!
Billie is gearing up to perform on Saturday Night Live on Oct. 19, shortly after kicking off her Hit Me Hard and Soft arena tour on Sept. 29 in Quebec.
