American Music Awards Anniversary Show Draws 12.9 Million Viewers

The 50th anniversary of the American Music Awards smashed previous viewership records with a fantastic lineup including Green Day, Mariah Carey, Brad Paisley, and others.

This celebration marked a comeback for the AMAs after they found a new home with CBS, leaving behind their ABC days. Since there was no show in 2023, it thrilled many by reaching over 12.9 million viewers, and it’s set to return during Memorial Day weekend in May 2025.

Social media buzzed with excitement when Raye sang “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World,” and Stray Kids paid tribute to *NSYNC. There were also appearances from stars like Jennifer Lopez, Gloria Estefan, and Smokey Robinson, creating a night full of energy and nostalgia.

Fans really enjoyed this unique show without any awards, just music legends and great performances. The usual fan voting will be back when the AMAs return in 2025.

Owned by Penske Media Corporation and Eldridge, Dick Clark Productions brought this special night to life.
